First Baptist Church of Natural Bridge is a small community church that has historically served the African American population in Natural Bridge, Virginia. Established in 1864, on land donated the “Old Colored Church” was formed. In it’s current location since 1926, this church aims to create a warm and welcoming environment for its members and visitors; highlight the unique aspects and values of the church all while reflecting its commitment to the community and its spiritual mission.

Pastor's Bio
Pastor Ryan E. Hubbard is the Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Natural Bridge, in Natural Bridge, VA. A current resident of Appomattox, Va. is a native of Natural Bridge, Va. where he learned at an early age, that there is no other foundation that one can lay than that which is laid; and that foundation is Jesus Christ.
Educated in the Rockbridge County School system, a 2001 graduate from Rockbridge County High School; 2005 graduate of the University of Lynchburg, formerly known as Lynchburg College, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology, with a criminology emphasis; 2023 graduate from Eastern Theological Seminary, in Lynchburg, VA. with a Masters of Divinity.
Pastor Hubbard, is the husband of one wife, Cheri Hubbard (14 years and counting); and the father of four children, Avery, Jayden, Jaxyn, and Aylin. Along with his pastoral duties, Pastor Hubbard has been employed for more than 18 years in the mental health field, helping those that are disadvantaged by life’s challenges.
A life-long member and musician at First Baptist Church of Natural Bridge; in 2015, after years of running from his calling, he accepted his calling into the gospel ministry and has not stopped preaching the word of God since then. In the following year, October 2016, he accepted the call to pastor the First Baptist Church of Natural Bridge, and has been faithfully committed to serving Jesus. Many other things can be said about this man of God, but the most important thing that needs to be known is that he loves Jesus, he lives Jesus and he preaches Jesus.
